Expansion for Seawork Exhibition 14th-16th June 2016, Southampton
Seawork, the commercial marine and workboat exhibition and conference taking place 14th-16th June 2016 in Southampton is expanding its number of pontoons due to extra demand.
Seawork International is the largest international commercial marine and workboat exhibition and conference held in a European port. It takes place over three days, every year, in Southampton, UK. Attracting more than 7,500 high calibre visitors from over 70 countries across the globe, Seawork is where buyers, sellers, innovators and legislators come together for three invaluable days at one incomparable location.
Due to demand, Seawork International is extending its number of pontoons for 2016. This will enable a greater number of vessels to be showcased in the Seawork Marina.
In recent years the Seawork Marina has accommodated in the region of 65 vessels. In 2016, however, the move to the new, permanent venue downstream at Mayflower Park in Southampton has now allowed the exhibition to offer greater scope to its water-based exhibits.
Previous years have seen vessels and craft of all shapes and operational abilities. These have included the Jack Up Barge, Red7, Damen's floating exhibition barge complete with two tugs and ancillary equipment, the Innovation Award winner, Gobbler Boats oil spill recovery vessel, as well as general workboats, specialist craft, crew transfer vessels, tugs and RIBs.
Due to the extension of the pontoons, and the overall enlargement of the Seawork Marina, there are currently a small number of berths available for vessels and other craft. There are also a limited number of stands and sponsorships available to take advantage of.
