Marine South East in conjunction with accountancy and investment management group Smith & Williamson, law firm Coffin Mew and Patent Attorneys Barker Brettell invite you to a Growth Through Innovation Workshop on Monday 25th November 2013 from 4.00-6.00pm at the Chilworth Manor Hotel, Chilworth near Southampton.
The guest speaker at the workshop will be Mark Exeter from Saab Seaeye, world leaders in underwater vehicles, who were recent winners of two South Coast Business Awards 2013 for Excellence through Innovation as well as the Business of the Year award. Jon will be talking about Saab Seaeye's ambitious business expansion and growth through innovation.
The experts from Smith & Williamson, Coffin Mew and Barker Brettell will then discuss and explain opportunities available to marine companies on legal, patent and tax matters at various stages of a company’s IP development. The speakers will explain the issues based on a case study of 'real life' examples. The workshop will help enable companies to plan around these commercial issues, avoid the pitfalls and take advantage of the opportunities as they present themselves.
This workshop is free to attend and is suitable for high growth innovative manufacturing companies. The event is not suitable for business support or service companies.
