Offshore Wind: Supply Chain Opportunities for marine companies Thursday 17th June 2010 Seawork

A workshop explaining how companies can get involved with the supply chain requirements in the fast-growing sector of offshore wind development will be taking place on Thursday 17th June at Seawork Exhibition, Port of Southampton.

Supported by the TIME project, the workshop outlines the services companies need from the Round 3 Offshore Wind procurement programme, including surveying, installation and maintenance, port requirements, and other marine-lreated products and services. The event, taking place from 10.00-12.30pm includes presentations from buyers and suppliers, and focuses on the supply chain opportunities available with specialist advice from Marine South East and other participants.

The TIME project encourages co-operation, collaboration, technical and innovative competitiveness of SME's within the maritime sectors of shipping, security, logistics, fisheries and renewable energy. This pro-active, cross-border initiative spans France, Belgium and England and is a joint public-private project funded through the INTERREG IVA - 2 Seas European programme.

Managed by Aditec (France), Innotek (Belgium) and Marine South East (England), the co-funded project runs until January 2012. The project's success will be measured on the results generated from proactive interaction and collaboration between companies in each region, encouraging joint ventures and knowledge sharing in order to create new services and product offerings to major buyers.
