Is your business a good place to work? Do you save energy and recycle? Does your business support the local economy? If you have a good green story to tell you could consider entering The Hampshire and Isle of Wight Sustainable Business Awards 2008.

With five categories celebrating the best of local business, the Awards seek to recognise and reward those companies in Hampshire and the Isle of Wight which are taking positive steps to improve their social, environmental and economic impacts, and will be open for entries from June 2nd until July 11th.

Sustainable business doesn't have to be difficult. Many businesses find that sustainability is already an everyday part of life. Perhaps you don't even think about the little things you do, such as paper recycling, or donating to local charities. But customer demand for companies to be green has never been greater, and you can boost your environmental credentials and make sure your business is recognised as an ethical company by winning a Sustainable Business Award!

All you have to do is explain why you should qualify for a Sustainable Business Award in fewer than 300 words and you could be shortlisted to receive an award at a ceremony on the 21st November at the De Vere Grand Harbour Hotel, Southampton. Details of past winners can be viewed at http://www.the-sbp.co.uk.

To register your interest in entering the Sustainable Business Awards 2008 simply email sustainable.business.partnership@hants.gov.uk or phone the SBP on 01962 845591.
