Free ANSYS Seminar on Simulation Technology in the Marine Industry, on Tuesday 17th June 2008.

Venue: The Historic Dockyard, Portsmouth

This free seminar will show the use of Finite Element Analysis and Computational Fluid Dynamics (both potential flow and viscous RANSE) in the Marine Industry. Meeting expectations is easier when simulation is utilised early in the process, rather than concurrently with testing or after a physical prototype failure.

Tools from the ANSYS simulation suite have been used for:

_ Recreational, commercial and military ship hull design
_ Systems for conventional, amphibious and hybrid vessels
_ Launch mechanics for offshore drilling rigs
_ Fire safety and suppression in vessels
_ Deck Equipment & Racing yachts
_ Marine Electronics

Topics to be covered include: Finite Element Analysis, Computational Fluid Dynamics, and AQWA & ASAS. One-to-one sessions with an industry expert will also be available for you to discuss how these solutions can be harnessed within your own company.

The seminar is aimed to be an informative and productive day for anyone associated with the marine industry, from Yacht Designers, Consultants, to OEM's and Suppliers. You are free to visit either the morning FEA session, the afternoon CFD session - or both! To register visit http://www.ansys.com/events/marineseminar .
