MareNet Event, Marine South East Activities Update, Open Forum and AGM, on Wednesday, 14th May from 3.00pm – 6.00pm.

May's MareNet Event will see Marine South East updating marine businesses on its current activities, as well as hosting an Open Forum session enabling marine companies to voice their concerns and discuss relevant marine sector issues with representatives from SEEDA and Marine South East. A very short AGM (10 minute) will also take place at the end of the speakers. The event, which is free to all marine companies, will conclude with a networking reception over drinks and canapés.

A number of topical issues will be covered at the event including, presentations and updates on the following:

- SEEDA - update on the marine contribution to the regional economy, PUSH implications for the marine sector and investment in waterfront sites
- An update on a number of marine infrastructure projects within the region - including the GKN Hydrodynamic testing facilities, dry dock capabilities in the Southampton area and shared facilities projects
- Launch of Solent Marine Community capabilities publication and website
- Update on the Schools Marine Challenge project

The presentations will be followed by an Open Forum for marine companies to raise issues and concerns with Marine South East staff and board members, as well as SEEDA officials, and will conclude with Marine South East's AGM.
