MareNet/ Marine South East Question Time, 3-6pm, Wednesday 14th May

Would you like to find out what Marines South East does in the region, would you like the chance to influence our future work and let us know about your current challenges and barriers to growth. If the answer is yes then take part in our May MareNet event - Marine South East Question Time.
The event will cover a number of topical issues including updates on the following:
- SEEDA - update on the marine contribution to the economy and investment in waterfront sites
- Marine Infrastructure in the region - Update on local marine infrastructure issues including the GKN Hydrodynamic testing facilities, dry dock capabilities in the Southampton area, 5 axis shared facilities project and others
- Launch of Solent Marine Community capabilities publication and website
- Update on current workforce development projects including the Cad/Cam Catia training initiative, technology skills project and the Regional Resource Centre
Warsash Martime Academy will also give an update on their facilities for the marine sector. This will be followed by an Open Forum for marine companies to raise issues and concerns with Marine South East staff and board members and will conclude with Marine South East's AGM.
Prior to the presentations delegates will have an opportunity for a guided tour of the excellent training facilities at Warsash Maritime College.
