Lord Digby Jones to speak at business in Asia event

Asia

UK Trade and Investment South East and the Asia Task Force are currently organising a business in Asia event to be held on the 17th March 2007.

The event aims to help raise awareness of the opportunities for South East companies to develop business in Asian economies, and is targeted at medium sized companies - companies that have a turnover exceeding £20m p.a. and/or with over 250 employees.

In addition, the event is also suited to fast growing SME's that are experienced exporters, that are not present in any of the majority of the following markets - China, India, Indonesia, Malaysia, Singapore, South Korea, Thailand and Vietnam. The SME's also need to have the capacity and capabilities to develop business in some of these markets.

Key note speaker Lord Digby Jones, Minister of State for Trade and Investment, will give a speech. There will also be a case study and a series of round table discussions focused on the major Asian economies. In addition the event will be attended by specialist UKTI advisors that assist UK companies to develop their business in Asia.
