Dates confirmed for first subsidised CAD/CAM training package

Cad Cam

Superyacht UK and Marine South East have been working together to produce a package of subsidised Cad/Cam Catia training specifically for marine companies who have already adopted or are planning to use Catia software in their offices. We have the last few places left on the initial course which must be reserved by 10th December to take advantage of the subsidised offer.

The training is being subsidised by SEEDA (the South East England Regional Development Agency) and is dependent on a minimum number of individuals committing to a 10 day (2 x 5 day blocks) initial training package taking place in the first quarter of 2008 (i.e. January - March 08). Further advanced Catia training packages may also be developed if there is a need for them.

The normal cost for Catia training is £250 per day but we have managed to secure government funding to reduce this cost to £85.50 per day for the first 30 people undertaking the training (provided they are from companies based in the South East region - which includes Berkshire, Buckinghamshire, Hampshire, Isle of Wight, Oxon, Surrey, Sussex, Kent and Medway). The total cost of the 10 day package is therefore reduced from £2500 to £855.

The tutors for the course will be 'marine' specific and the 5 day training blocks will take place at the Regional Resource Centre in Woolston, Southampton with groups of 5 or 6 people. It is envisaged that the initial 5 day fundamental course will be followed by 5 days in people's offices the following week.

Only the first 30 places booked will receive the subsidy and the courses must be undertaken before 31st March 2008.
The first dates for training have now been released and are: CATIA Fundamentals - 21st-25th January 2008 and the CATIA Advanced - Marine Modules - 4th - 8th February. Course will be held at the Marine RRC, Southampton.

If you would like to book a place on the course or find out more please email David Rea on david@marinesoutheast.co.uk or call 02392 472114.
