The Forum offers a chance for all those in the maritime sector, profit or not for profit, company or individual, to come together to make a difference in how the public perception of our uses of the sea can be improved.
The event will include discussion sessions, covering topics including:
Regional Engagement - An overview of the current distribution and activities of regional/local clusters across the UK. To share best practice across regional groupings and to discuss the specific issues/problems which relate to the promotion of the wider maritime sector regionally.
EU Green Paper on a future maritime policy - Presentations on partners' responses to the EU Maritime Green Paper and to exchange views on issues which have arisen from the consultation.
Learning & Careers - Practical session on materials and resources for the promotion of learning and careers in the maritime sector. Including the Maritime Enterprise Game* and online learning resources.
Events - A detailed session on the mutual benefits which partners can gain from working together on events organisation and events/exhibition appearances.
