The South East Growth Fund (SEGF) is a £30m venture capital fund committed to investing in fast growing small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) in South East England. It is managed by West Midlands Enterprise Ltd.

Up to £500k is invested in companies that can demonstrate they are able to achieve significant growth in the future. However, the initial investment is limited to £250k, with the ability to invest up to another £250k after six months. For investee companies raising further funds, the SEGF can invest up to £3m in any one company alongside other new investors.

An SME which receives an investment from SEGF not only benefits from the injection of equity, but can also benefit from:
• advice and support from the SEGF team to grow your business further
• access to contacts
• assistance from a pool of expert non-executive directors
