National Oceanography Centre in Southampton will host the Marine Autonomy and Technology Showcase 12th-14th November 2019 with tickets on sale from 3rd September 2019.

The National Oceanography Centre, the United Kingdom's centre of excellence for oceanographic sciences, will once again host the Marine Autonomy and Technology Showcase (MATS) in Southampton.

Registration to attend the 2019 event on 12-14th November is open from 3rd September and tickets will include access to all sessions, panel discussions, trade exhibits, evening social events and follow on sessions where applicable.

The aim of MATS 2019 is to explore the information needs of users of Marine Autonomous Systems (MAS), review the current technologies available to enable the data gathering for MAS users and explore the methods of taking that data and making it exploitable information for the user need.

The themes for this year's event are:

* Users and applications focusing on the current and aspirational (within the next five years) application of MAS, highlighting what the user requirement is.
* Planning and control
* The vehicle including a forward look to future vehicle technologies
* Data collection focusing on those technologies that enable MAS to collect data for the end-user, through imagery, physical sampling or chemical and biological detection.
* Generating information from data that meets end-user needs and exploring novel methods of generating information products from MAS gathered data including machine learning and AI
