Marine and Coastal Civil Engineering Expo, 12th - 13th September 2018, Birmingham

The Marine and Coastal Civil Engineering Expo is Europe’s leading exhibition and conference dedicated to showcasing the latest equipment and solutions for marine, coastal and other challenging civil and structural engineering projects.

The event delivers a fresh look to the sector, providing a platform for an unprecedented level of collaboration in finding the groundbreaking innovations and concepts for industry professionals involved in current and future projects.

Amongst the show's major themes is a focus on ports, harbours, jetties and piers - which there are over 700 of in the UK alone - with each consistently subject to major repair and future proofing projects against threats from an increasingly unpredictable environment.

Another leading focus comes in the form of coastal flood defences. Like many other islands, the UK's infrastructure needs frequent adaptation and enhancement; this show along with the award-winning Flood Expo, which already attracts more than 2,500 flood professionals from around the world.

Visitors will include: civil engineers, UK port authorities, harbour masters, energy companies, crown estates, conservation organisations such as the National Trust, wildlife trusts, the Environment Agency, transport infrastructure experts, councils.
