Workshop/webinar on using Earth Observation Technologies in Aquaculture, Monday 9th July 2018, Italy and via webinar

The SpaceWave project is hosting this free event to explore how Earth Observation technologies can provide opportunities, challenges and solutions for your business in food from the sea/Aquaculture. The event will take place on Monday 9th July 2018 at Bari in Italy and via webinar online at 3pm to 6 pm (CET), (2pm - 5pm BST).

The event will facilitate a group of experts, stakeholders and organisations and SMEs are invited to listen in, participate and share their own expertise and experience.

The workshop will last around 2 hours and can be attended in person or via webinar online. The workshop will be led by Fiorella Coliolo fiorella.coliolo@dtascarl.it and Daniela Iasillo iasillo@planetek.it

The workshop will explore the following:

* Overview of the SpaceWave project

* Aquaculture: support for aquaculture professionals through the exploitation of Earth Observation (EO) data for the optimisation of their activities, the monitoring of production sites and the maximisation of profitability

* Environmental monitoring: support to aquaculture and desalination plants with EO data for Water Quality and Red Tide monitoring

* Case studies of examples in use presented by companies
