MSE take the lead on a European Atlantic Action Plan
MSE is taking a lead role in building business opportunities under the European Atlantic Action Plan.
Jonathan Williams was invited to give a keynote address at an event in Cork convened by the European Commission to progress the plan.
This Action Plan aims to mobilise investment in exploiting and managing marine and maritime resources across the Atlantic sea basin, with a particular focus on:
* Marine and offshore renewable energy
* Safety and security
* Management of marine environment and ecosystems
* Living and seabed resources
* Coastal tourism.
MSE is planning to analyse these markets using its working relationships with marine clusters in Ireland, France and Portugal. MSE will also highlight specific opportunities for firms able to offer relevant products and services into these growth markets.
