Funding Boost for Daedalus Enterprise Zone
The Government has announced that money from the Regional Growrh Fund will be allocated to supporting the expansion of small and medium enterprises (SMEs) at the Solent Enterprise Zone, Daedalus.
Funding from the Regional Growth Fund bid, submitted by the Daedalus Business Partnership with the backing of the Solent LEP, will be invested in the site as follows:
* Upgrading the airfield
* Business support for SMEs, both already based on Daedalus and planning moves into the site, allowing them to expand their operations in the Enterprise Zone.
The Daedalus Marine and Aviation SME Expansion Fund is expected to help up to 20 SMEs expand, creating over 300 new jobs on the site.
