Solent Skills Festival and Jobs Fair, Thursday 3rd November 2011, Southampton
Marine Businesses are invited to participate in the Solent Skills Festival & Jobs Fair taking place at the City Cruise Terminal Southampton on Thursday 3rd November 2011.
This year's Solent Skills Festival & Jobs Fair aims to be the largest of its kind in the region, attracting over 150 organisations and 4000 attendees.
The Solent Skills Festival taking place from 9:00am to 2:00pm offers an Interactive World of Work festival for students who are currently attending Primary, Secondary, Further or Higher Education. £50 per stand for businesses wishes to attend.
The Solent Jobs Fair taking place from 3:00pm to 7:00pm is a Jobs Fair for adults seeking employment, change of career or to discover the roles, skills and tasks involved in various industries. Only £100 per stand + a free stand at the Skills Festival.
Skills Festival: Meet your future workforce and inspire them!
This year, as well as demonstrating the importance of science, technology, engineering and mathematics, the event will also provide students with the opportunity to discover the pathways that are open to them in other sectors such as hospitality, health, sport and hair & beauty. All Exhibitors are encouraged to bring educational and enjoyable activities for the students to participate in.
Jobs Fair: Recruit local talent, direct.
If you are an employer with a positive and professional attitude to planning, recruiting and developing a future workforce, the Jobs Fair will provide a very cost effective recruitment solution.
The aims of this event are to provide "Actual Jobs for Real People", as well as highlighting training and apprenticeship opportunities, and key employment skills.
Where possible, we encourage interactivity, so that attendees can see and try some of the activities and tasks that are relevant to your industry.
