Packed conference programme for Seawork 14th-16th June 2011, Southampton

Attracting over 7000 professionals from around the world, Seawork returns for its 14th year to ABP Port of Southampton 14th - 16th June 2011.

This year's three-day conference programme totals some 30 papers and presentations offering a valuable opportunity for marine companies to keep abreast of the latest developments affecting maritime and commercial marine activities. All conference sessions are free to attend.

Tuesday 14 June:

MoD; Marine Civil Engineering; Hydrography
The 2011 programme gets off to a flying start with presentations by UK Trade & Investment and the MoD.

Subsequent sessions focus on marine civil engineering and hydrography with papers by the PLA, Geomatix and the Hydrographic Society.

Wednesday 15 June:

Renewable Energy; Security
A full day's programme from The Crown Estate and RenewableUK devoted to renewable energy and its supply chain. Conference Room 2 will feature security sessions from EEZING, followed by the Small Craft Surveyors Forum.

Thursday 16 June:

Safety; Workboat design & build innovation
Morning papers on Safety issues presented by the MCA and the RNLI.

Afternoon sessions cover the impact of the European Fuels Quality Directive, improvements in propeller design by CJR Propulsion and Babcock Marine on Lightweight Craft Technology.
