Local marine company's appointment with the Queen

Local marine company, Trimline was one of a number of South East marine companies that contributed to the build of the Queen Elizabeth which is the latest addition to the fleet of luxury Cunard cruise ships. Trimline's contribution ensured that the 92,000 ton ship was ready for her appointment with the Queen when the Queen Elizabeth was named by Her Majesty in Southampton recently.

A team of over 20 Trimline personnel joined the ship as she sailed from her Italian builders to make sure that the finishing touches were complete by the time she reached her base port. Trimline was involved with a wide variety of tasks ranging from converting crew cabins to building a training room.

As the Queen Elizabeth carried out her initial voyages, Trimline continued to support the ship, carrying out modifications in the crew and passenger areas as the ship completed swift turnarounds in Southampton.
