Over 35 marinas, harbours and coastal authorities have come to together under the Sail South East brand to launch a comprehensive website for visiting yachtsmen to the South East of England from Weymouth to Ramsgate.

The website gives detailed information on cruising areas in the South East, harbour and marina facilities together with website links, tourist information on a number of waterside towns as well as tidal and weather information for the South East region.

The new website www.sailsoutheastengland.com has been designed as a valuable resource for visitors and those sailing frequently in the area. It enables visitors from the UK and abroad who are not fully familiar with an area to plan their route and select their preferred harbours, marinas and moorings in the South East of England from Weymouth in the west to Ramsgate in the east.

The website also provides links to Coastal Authorities and tourism information sites, so that visitors can plan their leisure activities around their chosen destinations. The design permits potential visitors to see the whole region at a glance, and then navigate within the website to individual locations.
Sam Bourne, Sail South East Chairman said “The website is a fantastic resource for domestic and overseas visitors to the area. It offers information on berths, moorings, marinas and places to visit. The website combines the best of marina and harbour information with all of the tourism information of the local area. We hope that by creating this website we will raise the awareness of the region and visitors will utilise the information provided making the most of their visit.”
