The project, which is being implemented jointly by Marine South East and the Farnborough Aerospace Consortium, has initially been talking to companies about how they are planning for their future need for better technology and how this will affect their skills needs.

Seawork celebrates a decade...
When the doors open at Seawork 2007 International on 12 June, the biggest and fastest growing business-to-business trade event for the commercial marine and workboat sectors will notch up its first decade. New developments in 2007 include a much bigger Ship Repair and Ship Building Pavilion, incorporating companies such as MMS Ship Repair and Dry Dock and Buckie Shipyard, MoD ‘meet the buyer’ sessions and a new Tug Conference, organised by ITS to coincide with Seawork, which will bring more than 100 high calibre buyers and decision-makers into the event on Wednesday 13 June. Seawork is supported by numerous associations including the Society of Maritime Industries, the UK and International Harbour Masters and the RNLI.
