GLEAMS Project glycerine-run marine engine to be on display at Seawork 2014...

The world’s first marine engine to be run using the exceptionally clean fuel of glycerine will be on display at Seawork 2014 together with a seminar session entitled ‘Will my ship/workboat run on this?’ where interested parties can find out more about the fuel’s possibilities for use in the marine sector.

£75 funding available for Collaborative R&D for 'Low Carbon Propulsion Technologies'...

The Advanced Propulsion Centre (APC) in partnership with the Department for Business, Innovation and Skills (BIS) and the Technology Strategy Board are to invest an additional £75m in collaborative R&D projects in the field of low-carbon propulsion technologies.

The GLEAMS workshop, Can My Ship Run on This? looking at the use of glycerine as an alternative marine fuel, will be taking place on Wednesday 11th June 2014 at 2.00pm at the Seawork Exhibition at the ABP Port of Southampton.
