Realising Opportunities of Satellite Applications from the South Coast, 17th June 2019, Portsmouth

The South Coast Centre of Excellence in Satellite Applications brings together academics, industrial, government and third sector partners to form a world leading cluster in satellite applications, delivering widespread technological and economic benefits for the South Coast region.

The Centre aims to lower the entry barriers to get more SMEs into the satellite industry, leveraging R&D and other funding, identifying and commissioning new programmes and projects to support SMEs using satellite technology, particularly those interested in Transport & Logistics, Autonomous Systems and Offshore Assets; supported by Communications, Earth Observations & Navigation, and Data Analytics & AI.

This event on the 17th of June will provide an opportunity to hear more about the programme, network with leading organisations and partners, and learn more about how satellite applications can enable solutions for your business.

Event location and directions

The Royal Maritime Club is situated very close to Portsmouth Historic Dockyard. The closest train and coach station is at The Hard. There are public car parks and on street parking around the venue (approx 2 minute walk) as well as the main car park at Gunwharf Quays.
